Knot Tied Not Too Bee

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Am I wrong that Poetry can Bridge A Cross divisions, conflicts, and even War, defined as Zar. That since Biblical times, verse has created dialogs for universal understanding.

Can We Bridge A Cross Of Peace

Bridge A Cross into Universal Understanding
That War offers no viable political solutions
Whence Zar Morticians do promote pollution
Where human pawns, be expendable pieces.

Bridge A Cross onto Divine Eternal Peace
Where we extend religious coexistence
As an all-inclusive human family existence
Amidst terse tense, having temporal tranquility.

Bridge A Cross Searchlights forming Christmas ceasefires
From one side going, to the other side of human conflicts
Another going the other way, to merge in the middle
When focused, merges to signal ceasefire concessions.

Can Poets Bridge A Cross

Tis the magic spell of Poet Tree
That can Bridge A Cross of verse
Where war ceases raging hostility
And poems create peaceful tranquility

Knot Tied Not Too Bee

A Lone Poet
mid isolation
mime contemplating
Invisible Be
thy dyes stains
pane pit mooring
Evaporative dried river
“I” whitewash dry bleach
Fall victim
to hourglass vanity
blank sod mirrors

A Cross words
that Bridge onto
nevermore eternity
Where poet’s dead end
mid future
fail lure attempts
Musk created
dye impossible,
to trump the Pied Piper
Who reign Supreme Masters,
over the HeArt of America.

Whom am I to eye,
butt a bookworm
excrement
Whence novel minded
Literary cast off dusk dust
When opened,
upon petrified
poet poem seedlings
Do reincarnate to feed
Phoenix flame
fame Chaucer.

Be Yeats
that prances
Irish heart spring
beats terse
But Dew Knot poets
get tied taunt
to subjected silence
Where mid projected poverty,
they instill
Poet Tree roots
Nurturing a sown
scorned seed to root
a gist future futility.

Fertile minds dew wilt,
mid fallow sorrows,
amid praying
fraught knead
Working heart girth
hearth warmth,
within thy core
creed conception
That if one builds
powerful stanzas,
they will survive
tides of time
Wish I may,
Wish eye might.
Preying I to eye be
~

Your first poem reminds me that we are all the same and the fear of "globalization" already here with corporations creating the rules for consumption throughout the world is a totally unnecessary fear. We share the world with everyone like Jesus Christ did. Not close ourselves in, like some kind of cult of exclusion.

Your second poem relates your ongoing rant about poetry and the class understanding of what poetry is coming down from the Egyptians and Greeks to where we are with it today. But I wonder if there is any power in poetry without song to carry it on.
