I wonder how many, will go back in rhyme, whence Love's past flourished.

Try naught to remember "Now", come on forget thy past recollections, try and try, they live life's in past replayed Love Melodies.

Metronome lungs
heartbeat rhyme
tick tock re-cycles
Whence Poet Tree
roots furrow mind
frame disciples
Would could should
dew something
today recantations
Repeat yesterdays,
post mortem
year’s procrastinations

She was the one,
thy heart left behind
question marks
That left one
so hollow inside
forever then more
love stains
That no matter
how long,
dye memories
reincarnates pain
Yet will never admit one screwed up, henceforth To Be

You are so right with your poem. So true on Valentine's Day for those of us who are older. Almost everyone has a lost love or two, or me tucked away in their past that comes back to haunt us once in a while.
