Or must one submit

for Florida Republic
Seal of Goverance
DeSantis approval
with poet modifications
How pitiful to pick on
young Black poet
supporting Diversity.

Can you imagine
Public Libraries book
banning Conservatives
Why it would be
world of words
bearing DeSantis Governance
Welcome Amada Gorman
to America’s Dead Democracy
Poet Society,
where we again must share,
ghost writing wraith names.

I think if I may,
call you “Lady Liberty,”
defender of Free Verse
As Sentinel Sterral Guardian,
where feminine Truth
prevails in Poetry
Poetess daring to question
those Pied Piper Overlord
who seek
To overrule US
and
We The People
Constitution creed birthrights

Long Live “Lady Liberty”
and may your fame
flame be a Phoenix
Inspiration that We The People
have no puppet
