Shall I color your thoughts with passion
of firelight and candlelight and love?
Or would it be more effective to gift you
with thoughts of other, simple pleasures of life?
We could walk by the sea together
your arm around my waist, fingers entwined.
Tell me about all your years and tears
whisper your love for me.... again.
We could walk for miles on a dark shore
entranced by conversation, pounding waves
the serene smoothness of beaten sand
and the timelessness of a deep kiss.
We could run in fields of new mown hay,
intoxicated by the fresh scent of nature.
then picnic under an oak on the riverbank.
Amble down city streets and people- watch;
finding new inspiration for unwritten poetry.
Would you buy me that hat in the shop window?
I never wear hats, but today I want one,
along with that silk scarf, to blow in the wind
as we drive much too fast on mountain roads.
Kiss me in sunlight, where no one cares.
Making moonlight love, each nuance of movement
a symphony of creative delight, remembered.

This sounds like Heaven to me, Belle. You can forget a night on the town; as far as I'm concerned, a night on the beach is much better! :)) I love the easy, relaxed tone and enchanting, peaceful voicing which speaks of being entirely open and naked with the One with whom "nothing much" is everything, and, when, all else in the world is stripped away, that which remains is just the two, become one, which is love. All of the world and the whole of life's meaning, within the circle of one close embrace. A very natural and unforced flow to this write. It lives and breathes. Bless you and thank you, Kate xx
