Wild Things Inside Us Baby
By La Belle Rouge

you are a perfect gentleman always
with manners and impeccable taste
I am always a lady ……almost
with a genteel smile on my face
dark things hidden from the eyes of others
that only two lovers can ever see
there’re wild things inside us Baby
known only to you and to me

there’re wild things inside us Baby
hiding in the darkness of our souls
crouched down and poised to lunge
ready to roar and take over control
of our every thought and action
of tingling hands and lips too
there’re wild things inside us Darlin
and oh the untamed things they will do

they strain at all the bars Baby
and gnaw at the tight restraints
they want to get at each other
and end all our lonely complaints
there’re wild things inside us Darlin
leopard watching my leopardess watching you
and if those wild things ever break free
oh the unspeakable things they will do

a dance in the dense jungle foliage
mid the terrible cries of the beasts
a tangle of teeth, tongues and bodies
a veritable "king of the jungle" feast
there are wild things inside us Baby
things with fangs, with claws on their paws
and if the world could see inside us
the world would gasp and drop it’s jaws!

lol. And a wonderful day...er, night was had by all. Love the write and the attention to detail was a delight beyond...my sharpened claws, my eager body, tingling with desires of which you write. Love it. Liz

Well, personally I don't polish up my Killer Heels all that often, and usually kick 'em off almost as soon as I get them on... but this certainly makes me want to buff up me claws, lick me whetted lips and score a few wields across somebody's backside for certain sure! :)) I always knew there's quite a bit of Jungle Juice in me somewhere... but don't tell Andy... He thinks I'm reserved and lady-like, poor deluded darling... :)) Oh to be Jane for a day... Grrrrrrrrrrr-eat write, Belle, Kate xx

Interesting piece, a little different from some others. Creative and imaginative with a nice bit of spice to keep the interest of the reader....

the disguises we wear, the costumes for each stage, depending on the play. ah, but what lives in the heart is what comes from nature... the animal, indeed. the rhythm in each line is a sensuously padded step towards what completes this privately uninhibited tango. truly an adult's answer to where the wild things are - cleverly enticing. one cannot resist thoughts of carnavale....

And thank goodness they can't see. The manifestation of love between two lovers is only for their eyes. An awesome poem with music that convey intimacy - this poem is one to be read again and again and shared with my husband.

Belle,I'm glad you honor the wildness and not try to tame it,
sure we keep it under wraps most of the time ...but it lurks in the deep shadows........
