Waiting For The Rain...

Eternal Rain
By La Belle Rouge

there was a long season
of dry discontent
waiting, waiting for the rain
lifting eyes to a parched sky
then a monsoon
washed away my desert

glimpsing dawn after darkness
i dared believe
love would live eternally
at last with death’s sunset
i knew it would
even after we were gone

Delicate and sweet like the actual feel of a warm summer rain, the kind where two lovers throw aside the umbrellas and walk hand in hand washing in the glory of the moment.

True love is this world's most precious gift and rarest gem. While tinted with sadness, Belle, this poem is beautiful. From every tough experience comes renewal and another chance to find what we really long to find.

Well done,
Jill

A heart full of dried love lost
Can be as cold as Jack Frost.
But was washed away by rain,
Time to break out the champagne.
A heart now willing to give
Real love in order to live.
