The Belle And Her Colonel...

Poem Artwork

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Naked Soul And Body
By La Belle Rouge
you are my captive now
not a prisoner of earthly war
but of battles strong men wage within
struggling to be invincible, immovable
impervious to a woman’s charms
but I have easily captured you
My Officer And Gentleman
without firing a single shot, you fell
without inflicting a sword wound
your fever raged and spiked with lust
no pain only pleasure in your surrender
you are tied up now in tender arms
locked fast between ivory thighs
you are my helpless prisoner of love
serving out your life sentence
no ostentatious brass medals pinned
on a colonel’s impressive dress uniform
no uniform... or heavy petticoats
no bustier between breasts and chest
flesh to flesh naked souls and bodies
no fear to reveal all to each other
your wounds are my wounds
you carry them in your flesh
we both carry them in our spirits
oh if only I could have borne them all
and freed you from such deep pain
but all I can do is trace your scars
with fingertips, moist lips and tongue
that know no shame in their journey
lie still and accept your fate
do not try to escape my restraints
you will find me a pleasant warden
and this prison of love, your home,
place of freedom and rest discovered
we are home, your sword sheathed
deep within a sweet secret chamber of fire
where wars and wounds are forgotten
and scars are simply aphrodisiacs
The branding of the internal fire is the scar that heals between two souls whose fatal wound is only to be found in separation. Sustained and crafted beautifully and with loving sentiment that is at once serene and confident as well as passionate and disturbed. You are so missed, Belle, and I hope that you are getting on top of things again now. Please be well. Kate xx
