you know before i say
those things i rarely say
you know i am a part of you now
but you are afraid to say “i love you”
as if your not saying will make it acceptable
you love me, my darling
if you lie to yourself forever
you can’t lie to a heart resting on
the threshold of your dearest dreams
where thoughts become intimate touches
and sighs morph into breathless kisses of fire
touch me again in thought
kiss me in the indigo midnight
where forbidden lovers hide passion
and we lie once again about hated miles
being a good thing when we ache to our core
to span them with hands and lips, not just thoughts
So beautifully sad! To love so deeply and have to keep it buried in your heart, where it will never see the light of day! Too tragic for words! LOVE! Sissy
