Art "Nature's Embrace"
By Josephine Wall

By La Belle Rouge
so little left, depleted, done
but still for you I will unbolt
that secret vestibule of heart
you have forever possessed
love on the cryptic threshold
of destinations once traveled
as when soul pledged to soul
arm in arm neath ancient trees
we shared devotion’s whispers
we watched our horses drink
from river’s sculpted cistern
mutual laughter blended well
as did warm desirous breath
a touch, a voice, unique scent
ensconced in memories of our
lavender twilights descending
preludes to indigo midnights
passion enveloped us together
in protected haven of embrace
we believed it would remain
eternally, our perfect affinity
not separated by life or death
so long ago… it seems yesterday
your kisses transported me away
to other forgotten shorelines or
perhaps to futuristic rendezvous
circle now, circle round, My Love
and find me in your arms again

"...rendezvous...a touch, a voice, unique scent ensconced in memories of our lavender twilights..." sweet words oozing over bitter memories of abcense to make life more bearable.
LaBelle,
The rich density of thought and expression is handled with ease, the fluency in such sophisticated style uninterrupted; this level is hard to achieve without forcing and there's no forcing here.
In sincere admiration,

A touching lover's lament, Belle, written in a style all your own. You grab the reader by the heart with love's intensity and never let go from the first word to the last.
This is a sentimental and epic story about a young man, injured in the Viewnam War, who returns to Dallas, Texas, in 1964, and begins rebuilding his life. Set against the rock and roll era of the early 1960’s, when casual sex and recreational drugs w
