Galaxies
By La Belle Rouge

your eyes are dark, after-sunset skies
lighting earth with embedded stars
what are they whispering
into the void of midnight
those eyes that coil vaporous
trails of love around my soul?

I hear your eyes speak in tongues
ancient mysteries of a lost religion
the language of ecstasy
my ears strain to hear
when winds of emptiness
have blown away my dreams

your eyes are embers of honesty
where enduring inspiration burns
no pretentious promises
fill their forceful gaze but
a simple supremacy of oneness
as the galaxies of our eyes collide
