heart feeling distance

Tailored Tears

.......................................................

She entered slowly...

With cautious pace,

Feeling her way,

As I gained her confidence...

Her timid spirit appealed to me.

With soft heart...

In need with hunger,

Her girlish smile...

Could not hide her

essence of true woman...

So passionate...so feminine...

With psychic of pure lover...

And spirit that seduced me.

Blond curls brushed my face,

As her beauty hovered over me...

Filling me with love...

She so desperately needed to give...

And I so desperately needed

to sooth me.

Whispers passed through

lips of mouth,
Her mother once promised

she'd grow into...

Melting mine...filling my world,

As we became one...

In mind, body and soul.

Love as I had never known before...

Received or given,

Hung our future from the sky...

All we need do, was to embrace

and enter it...

Together.

Her reality came crashing in,

With waves of separation...

Washing me into distant pain...

 I found my heart,

Drowning in my tears.

Erin this is an exquisite love poem, even with the sad ending,I hope it is fiction;-) So good to read you again. I don't think you know you have to rate your poems now, in order for them to show up on the boards.

Love,
Eileen
