Love gone bad or never was.

"To Kiss the Sun"

So right with the world was I, not so long ago, that to embrace the sun was risked by no one but me - How Bold!

So brave was I to kiss the sun, a feat no one else had ever done.

To reach for the warmth, the brilliant glow to be mine, a thought ¨less than finished and foolish to pine.

In the beginning, love made me strong, never fearing the choice ¨was wrong.

I reached for things I should not have, never thinking of the ¨bad.

The dangers awaited, I saw some, but knew love would conquer for the two of us are one.

Faced with challenges I have created, the tension and hurt ¨paint a future ill-fated.

As destiny foretold, love, like the seasons, changed it's color without my permission and out of my order.

Still hanging on to what was never meant to be, I fought the ¨untempered foe, but the sun's heat began to cool and less ¨
than dim became the glow.

Depleted from battle I had not won, the wholeness became two ¨again, and I cannot face the sun.
