I seem to be frozen in time
When the world I live in
Has perfect rhythm and rhyme

My focus is true
I understand where I’m going
And I know exactly what to do
Every once in a great while
The windows are open and clear
Making my escape so much easier
When the wolves are near
Every once in a great while
My vision is very astute
It’s as clear and defining
As a the sound of a flute
Every once in a great while
While the moon shines bright
I look into your eyes
And I know everything will be all right
Every once in a great while
As I watch my sons sleep
My love is so profound
That I stand and just weep
Every once in a great while
I’m surrounded by friends
I feel loved and supported
And the laughter never ends
Every once in a great while
Things are suspended in space
Creating a moment
My memory will never erase
Every once in a great while
I wish the time continuum would just bend
So the few moments that happen
Wouldn’t so quickly end
