Do you hear it?
Do you hear the song they sing?
They sing it for you
Beautiful strains of sweet nectar
It skips off from their instruments
Floats daintily in the air
Feathery softness
Drifting gently on the breeze
A lute plays for you
I requested the tune
It reminds me of you
A peaceful melody
With only joy
Sprinkled with serenity
Overflowing with love
Kissing the air you breathe
Seeping into your body
Infiltrating your senses
Causing your heart to flutter
Your dreams to soar
Spine tingling sensations
Drenching you in warmth
Goosebumps arise
You close your eyes
Just as a smile reaches your lips
I slip into your arms
As the lullaby rocks us to sleep
A deep peaceful slumber
Keeping us ever connected
Until the melody plays again
