THE APOLOGY

djbeaulieu

Let this day be a new beginning

instead of a old destructive memory.

Please give me permission to again be the trusted lover

you will cherish instead of the tolerated one.

My heart grows heavy with the sad memories

and asks you for forgiveness and permission to let them go,

for it is in life, as in death, one must be released by the other.

May our spirits rise above our mistaken wanderings.

Let this day be a new beginning; not an old hurtful memory.

I will carry these scars of guilt, shame, sorrow and pain;

forever will they be, but with forgiveness each will fall silent.

I pray for their forgiveness and mine every day -- always.

May our spirits rise above our mistakes and its wounded pride.

Give me your hand of love and trust

and I will cherish and protect it as I will my own soul.

It is though the power of pain and sadness that I have learned.

Let this day be a new beginning. Let us hold hands in

love and trust of each other’s separateness, yet, together as one.

May our spirits raise above our mistakes our hurt and our pain.

Give me your soul and your spirit and I will treasure them,

as God would, and hold them in faithful protection and care

as I would my own body, mind, spirit and soul.

No one will treasure, love, honor, care for and cherish you

as carefully or diligently as I – no one on this earth!

May our intellects, spirits, and souls rise above our mistakes.

Give me your trust in full measure and I will give you mine – every time.

There is no Love as strong as mine.

This is a powerful compelling statement of love and trust.
The answer to the implied question must be a resounding "YES"
Who in their right mind would say NO?
