"TIMES LIKE THESE" ( on being well )
D . C L U R E
As the warmth rises
from my fevered brow
I Hear my own breath
rushing in and out
like, whispered oohs and ahhs.
Lips parched as a desert drought:
Cracked and dry.
my nostrils some unseen ogre
has pinched tight.
O how oft I take good health
for granted.
When feeling well
Lord help me, on times like these
to think.
