As you know Jon, I am a hopeless romantic so I can relate very well to what you have expressed through your verses here. I beg to differ about "only one love." I have a good friend who lost her husband shortly after he retired. A few years later, she married a man who was the love of her life until he grew very old, and died. The ensuing years have been lonely, so she has found another man her age that she is madly in love with and just married. I can truly say that she has had, "three one loves" in her lifetime.
Filled with renewed wonder of love, and the pleasures of being alive and able to experience that with the right person. Lovely!
