In A Locket
there is a locket in my memory
keeping fresh memorabilia
the soft embraces of cherry lips
a gentle press of firm bosoms
across my pounding chest
destiny’s touch whispering in my ear
we are the poetry of love’s unity
scarlet rushes passionately flowing
at our meeting excitement crested
our skin awash with romance and desire
our souls knew in an instant their mates
was it fate or circumstance?
it matters not love’s seed had sprouted
into my locket of love I glimpse often
for the need of you grows daily
as appreciation for your love ascends
I will forever hold this love of you
in the secret locket of my memories

Wonderfully-penned creation! And the romanticism evoked by "a locket" is amazingly substantive and pristinely symbolic in this wonderful story of a poem.
