Love's Eulogy
She never left a note
He forgot to hang up his coat
Her hair was wild in the wind
His tails were flying against his shins
Her words were dying ..she was alone
He cared for nothing not even his own life
She never wanted to be his wife, forlorn
He was running, she was running
Away from the commitment
The pain of knowing there would be an end
To their beginning and a twist to their story
For Love was shrouded in all its' glory
It could shine no more
Not like before
He forgot to close the door
It flapped vacantly in the night
She remembered to throw away her life
Suddenly, no more, no words, no cries
Could express the cold uncertainty.
He could read the Eulogy
As he followed her
Into night skies...
