Beyond The Realm of Dreams

When bounds of logic stretch

beyond conscious belief.

When even within dreams

the possibility of life together

is far...

Far from the realm of reality,

what more then,

is there but to dream.

Within the realm of dreams...

Hand in hand,

we walk the flower dotted,

grassy field.

Within the realm of dreams...

Hand in hand, barefoot

we stroll the warm sand,

rock strewn beach.

Beyond the realm of dreams,

where distance in time and space

and obligation are impossible

to overcome.

Within the realm of dreams...

What more then is there

but to dream

the dream of sleeping;

your head upon my shoulder,

the breath you breathe

warm upon my ear.

Who then can foretell or prompt

or dismiss a dream?

To awaken with a sad heart,

and a longing within your soul.

Who then can foretell or prompt

or dismiss the slumbering thoughts

that come at night,

that bring sighs of longing

upon awakening,

or the tears that form...

beyond conscious belief.
