like the morning,
creeping cat-like
across your bed.
You are silent and still
in your knowing
You let me awaken you
with the smallest of kisses,
I burn my hands, my heart,
in the pyre of your hair.
Celestial blue
is the color
of mystery,
the hue I see,
When you stare at me,
and I behold an alien sky
deep as your soul
where the best part of me
will ever fly--
You roll against me
and I comfort you
as you warm my spirit
in an alchemy
of love.
I am vanquished--
by your surrender,
you triumph,
and I don't mind at all,
