No Escape

Close as a breath,
distant as mirror images
collapsing into infinity--
a whisper, a shadow
across the heart--
Are you dream
or dreamer?

Never mind.
You are here.
a singularity,
a vanishing point
on the soul's horizon
and there is no escape.
