What of Those…
from childhood to adulthood
including the Determined to reverse engineer adolescence
hoping for delusional youthdom
to sustain who they are
perhaps forgetting
there comes a time
when the death
of ideals
of virtues
of dreams
pass onto their next iteration
What of That…
which serves as tools and nourishment
for the rational beings
to use and abuse
to fend and consume
to eventually exhaust and cast aside
What of It…
that heart of all that makes possible Those and That’s
the It we sometimes call
the spirit
the soul
the Natural Law
this core essence of then
now
and tomorrow
does not It also need the freedom to restart
