Passion and passivity
grow from the roots of one
as does sincerity
duplicitous in multiple guises
the three-leaf oak
the seemingly stoic mantis

Confuse not the bogus
with the bona fide

the bogus an awaiting inflammation
while the bona fide flows freely
as innocence
and compassion
even as many miss the circus behind joy
so bent on sidestepping predators of virtue

forgetting not caution
be as it may
