The cyclic nature of existence has many attributes. Passion, as one element, seems infinite in its power to live, die and resurrect.

Contrails of Passion
by Odin Roark
Soaring through flames
the unseen regenerates
this existence so ephemeral
knowing parts burned yesterday
beget births of tomorrow
So rises Nature's persistent voice
this whispered echo of all before
trumpeting previews of all to come
Like winged seeds
ascending high above the ash
sparks ignite frigid unknowns
enjoining other swirling trails
high within us
For Time knows
Hunger's searing tempest
embraces icy conflict
releases teardrops once frozen
to nurture yet again
another loving garden
even as contrails of passion
wait patiently
budd
