When one entertains the prospect of writing once more about the eternal nature of existence, choosing from the plethora of realities and metaphors can be rather daunting. (Image by Mike McGlothlen)

Endless Movement
by Odin Roark
Evaporations know not an end.
Like Dali’s liquid clock atop the branches,
stretching the forever time downward,
nature’s exhale lovingly shrouds
the languid buds of spring's rhapsody.
Dissonant rhythms of youth
merge with permanence of history,
supporting continuance of earth’s concerto
layering their accompaniment atop nature’s solo.
Hopefully the luster of ebony keys
will remain as memory amidst the swirling ashes
where damper pads maintain their desperate lift
protecting the melodies forever ours.
Glistening heat of one cycle’s completeness
brings forth yet another incarnation of perpetual motion,
another calm tonality seeding a measure's beginning
to become the pause for yet another calm.
Faith’s tremolo holds its eternal echo,
art’s ethereal resonance,
knowing life with death are inseparable,
patiently awaiting the cosmic baton
to begin another endless movement.
Endless movement nicely played.
