Labored love finds only complexities and false pride, while its purity knows of something else. On this day of love’s contemplation, I’m wishing all as fortunate a find of purity in their mate as I, for there is no greater reward.

No Other Way
by Odin Roark
Because there is a gentle pause of breath,
a narrowing of the eyes to see past the shadows,
the fragrance of peace without effort,
the feel of air as cool or warm as needed,
and sadness once shouted become melodies heard,
such becomes the sheltering nature of being love,
a sunlight that knows the dark only as tranquility,
an inner smile knowing no other way.
Love feels not a definition by others,
for something so personal,
has only its own understanding.
I'm in love with those surrealistic images you always post. If I could only afford to buy originals of those to hang in my meager collection, I would be ecstatic.
