The state of love is many things to many people. For some of us, making love something beyond the Hallmark Card traditional definition is an important life quest. (Image by Flotolia)

Beloved Guardian
To think of my beloved as Guardian,
is to know she teaches me
that all everyday hazards of living
can be overcome.
Her mouth,
that tunnel winding through the voicing
of life’s many mountains and valleys,
always imbues my trust in light appearing at the end.
Those eyes,
like the lens of a lighthouse,
forever warns me of danger
while guiding my journey away from rocky shores.
Oh, those hands,
gentle fingers that touch beyond my body,
arrest my most private chambers of thought
and lessen the weight of unresolved problems.
And the unflagging arms,
those ever faithful extensions of her kindness,
always ready to lift my despair,
pushing me where I need to go,
detouring my tendency to drift.
The ever ready tireless legs and feet,
mobilized energy urging me
toward the light beyond shadowed fear,
empowering my desire to overcome barriers.
Yet…
Hovering about her fortress of strength
the essence of her being coalesces with mine,
becoming that place where auras morph
into a peaceful sojourn of aloneness together,
where acceptance of One with the universe
is both frighteningly calm,
and gratefully truthful.
Very revealing, but a pleasure to read and identify with.

Love ya!

"becoming that place where auras morph
into a peaceful sojourn of aloneness together."
With that kind of unity, then yes, calm and truthful.
Well done.

"You flow into me
Without changing the essence
Of whom I’ve become;
But I am more than I am
Because you merge into me"
Really well expressed, Odinsan. Peace... r
