Germinated Love
I know I know
But I haven’t forgotten what it was like then
When heads leaned down to inhale our essence
And our days were made longer with water
Even if at times in a Coke bottle
We started to worry about time
But then our mother came with her wind
And our pollination floated across mountains and prairie
Bringing Nature’s homesteading without penalty
We saw the whole world as our home away from home
Not needing nursery or Paris flower carts for pride
For we had each other where ever our seeds might fall
I know I know
There’s less offspring now
Roads and buildings have mushroomed where once we flourished
Our closest of kin have lived and died
But I wouldn’t want us to have experienced life any differently
Such an abundance of beauty and closeness we brought to so many
And to each other… even now
Love ya!
