Future’s Vacuous Breath
How quaint the denier’s leafless tree
astride life’s mud-cracked future,
idly absorbing another deflowering of innocence,
its ghost-like oscillations in captive continuance.
Like a global caterpillar gone limp,
pools of black ooze spread beneath its feet,
the tangential disease of hatred
overflowing history’s abyss,
a chasm’s capacity breached.
As its gaze is lifted,
death-saturated air billows overhead,
invisible fallout about to replant patient habits
for even further generations to cultivate.
Such abides the degenerate planet’s impregnation,
seeking not abortive means,
rather awaiting the birth of more ignorance
perpetuated by the blind
destined for the deaf
manifested by even more cognitive cripples.
Lamentably…
Amidst a star-filled universe,
like a vibration never reaching its end,
echoes of a once resolute consciousness
float aimlessly atop the rancid gasping,
The further baking of life,
the seemingly impenetrable density
of future’s vacuous breath.
Thankfully you and I won't be around to see the mess that is coming while they flight for the right to be wrong. We are all on the same train. The poor and the meek may go first, but the last cars with all their luxury, will follow.
