Love is…
Once upon a long time ago…
Beneficence rose from Man’s dusty landscape of kill or be killed
Became…
An indiscriminate emotional principle needing purchase
Love started to evolve…
Realizing it was not the sole property of man
Love embraced yesterday’s four and two-legged beasts as well…
Teaching all of life was in a constantly changing evolution
Love invited…
Nature’s flowers and trees, insects and fowl of all sorts
As its caring message was felt and understood…
The fortunate realized…
Love is the dream in Life’s deep sleep
A reality that can be ignored and abused
But never destroyed
But you seem to describe Love as something that came later in our development.
One thing I've noticed about indigenous people. When they kill for food, they all seem to have a way of honoring their love for that animal, bird or fish that gave its life so that the hunter and his family could live.
We have lost that love unless we become a vegan society with manufactured foods are no longer have to kill loving animals to eat protein. Actually begin loving our earth more than we do right now.
