I’ve long believed that
Beauty is one part simplicity
And one part elegance
Wrapped in a portrait of life.
Whether we are observing
Nature art or music
The author blends colors sounds and words
In a symbiosis of visual
And aural delights.
But I’ve learned that if you
Add a pinch of charm
And a dash of wit
Toss in a little mischief
Then you have a living thing
A collage of culture choir
And curiosity.
Oh the poet wears many masks
And tries to cover intentions
In metaphorical discord
But under it all are two incessant
Human drives –
One is be noticed and the
Other is to be loved.
I think one of the human drives for some of us is just to share a love of poetry with like minds. Maybe that is being noticed and being loved. But really, I have thoroughly enjoyed, for the first time in my life, having contact with other people who have this drive to put things in words.

Perhaps you have it, certainly sounds sound, for one sounding out truth, but I cannot help but think that your visual has it backwards: the touch of poetry, true poetry, turns everyone into a lover. I may be a bit biased, of course... still this one is a keeper! Nicely conceived and wonderfully delivered, Edward. She's a beaut!
