Free to Be Whether near or far I love you When your spirit is low I care When your days are long and weary I wish that I were there. We don’t need frenzied ovations Or cheering cries and such Just a nod that says I need you Along with your loving touch. Know that our souls are united Though our words are left unspoken That our wills are always together With a bond that cannot be broken. When at last our time is upon us And our spirits are free to roam And our present is cast in memories May we find our perfect home. Those are my barest of yearnings My thoughts of what my mind can see May our love have a new beginning When at last it is free to be.

That is the best kind of love there is! No expectations and knowing you love each other even, "Though our words are left unspoken". Such a heart warming poem of a love that doesn't need to prove itself.

Pure, simple, touchingly untouched in the expression of our most intimate emotion. There is a tinge of melancholy here as well that makes it all the more moving. Nice work, rhythms and rhyme that doesn't draw attention, simple yet profound. John
