Early Retirement
Old rockin’ chair’s got me
No room at the Inn
Like my humble beginnings
No bottle of gin;
No place to go home to
Locked up from the sun
This game they call politics
It ain’t very fun;
Just this here old shanty
Built back in ‘28
Before the market crashed
That’s my new Fate;
Cold walls all around me
Can’t see very far
No basket ball court here
No shiny new car;
A weather vane tells me
It shows me the way
If I ever should wander
Down old D.C. way;
Too see the excitement
The world gets every day
Gonna lay back and relax
And collect that easy pay.
Put things in perspective
Maybe write my memoir
Collect another 10 million
It don’t go very far;
Tell the world about hope
And how I gave up that scheme
Now leave me to live my
Great American Dream.

I just saw Jimmy Carter at 91 join Willie Nelson on stage singing Amazing Grace like a trooper. I can see Obama joining Paul McCartney on tour one of these days. Hell, he might even join Willie for a song and a toke or two.
You can make a poem give us more information than an article… cool.
