The Anatomy of Her Love

On an analytical level
Love is part mind, part body and part soul
It is how we think and feel, emotionally, physically, and spiritually
About one another
But hate probably also meets that definition
Perhaps even indifference does too;
So what is it about love that changes how those components
Melt into a blend that wins our excitement?

We could go through a list of body parts and their shapes
But they are probably all surpassed by a winning smile
We could talk about compatibility for hours
But that is probably all exceeded by trust
We could talk about things spiritual
But they are probably all passed by kindness and compassion
Or what she shows others--especially children, the elderly, and animals.

This special lady has a unique look in her eyes when she speaks
Or when she laughs with us when we stumble
Or she moves quietly into our space…and we like it
She gives us a pet name…shared with no one else;
Her eyes sparkle and we alone see it;
She asks for our opinion when she has questions
We can never forget the warmth we feel each time
When we embrace in the most sensual way.

She laughs with us
She cries along with us
And she sighs when we say goodby to her.

We can sense her inner voice in the moonlight
and we see a welcoming depth in her eyes when she speaks;
Even the rain brings out her special aura
And our sense of oneness reaches new highs.

She is neither rude nor self-serving
Firm when she needs to be
Steadfast in the face of danger
And humble in our praise of her courage.

Nothing about life is certain
As we know all too well
But in the grand mix of hopes and chance and what could be
And speaking only for myself...
I would go all in with someone revealing one-half this profile
And never look back.

Now that you perfectly described her, I hope you find her. But I'm glad that you place that disclaimer in the last line.

I have found that the most beautiful women, physically, seem also to be the most open, kind and willing to engage. Why is that? Probably because throughout their lives they have always received praise and respect and have been protected from most harm like taunts when they are young. If all women were treated like beautiful women, more of them may fit into your characteristics of the ideal female love.

Hi Rebecca: I agree with you. I am not an authority on the subject matter. Occasionally, I write to please a few of my lady readers who seem to think I am an authority. Secondarily, I write to see if I can put a few coherent thoughts together on a subject that I don't begin to understand. It's not a good idea. Still, nobody reads or understands my "brilliant" thoughts on how to fix the US economy. My days of writing on any subject are now nearly over. Thanks for being one of my good supporters.

The lady you describe is "real," in the sense that she has a good heart without being saintly. She's no paragon capable of overwhelming, and yet she is by no means invisible or vague in presence. She is someone you or I could meet on the street and find instantly likeable. She is special, yet she remains everywoman.

Too bad more men (and women) don't see her as they remain focused on the empty packages of human bling that perpetually hog the spotlight. The true gifts of priceless value are all to often simply wrapped.

Rebecca
