To read is fun
But not on the run
To see is sublime
At least some of the time
To hear is a joy
Like a boy with a toy
But to taste in haste
Is defintely a waste
It’s like floating along
Without a song
Or taking up space
From the human race
Where liars abound
Making way too much sound
And so, if you want to know
Almost anything more
Look up the facts
Synthesize analyze and
Carefully evaluate them
Compare and contrast
Man that’s a blast.
Avoid confusion
With limited conclusions
Limit do not overreach
And don’t ever preach
Your goal is not wealth
It’s about making better use
of our time and yours.
Your reward and ours
is always the same
Come sunshine or rain
We make a better world
When we seek
Enlightenment.
There are foundational reasons cultures both contemporary and ancient taught people to aspire toward enlightenment. Unfortunately few in today's world find value in it.
