It would be easier catching smoke in a net,

than imagining life without you.

It would be easier plucking a star from the sky

than finding a love near as true .

A moment without you is a visit to hell,

even for the briefest of times;

I cannot imagine a life on my own,

or a world in which you were not mine.

To me it would be like the end of the world,

just as cold and as empty as space.

So far from the love and affection I feel

whilst held in your tender embrace.

The mere thought of losing you, tears me apart,

and forces tears into my eyes.

It would be easier commanding the tides to turn back,

than imagine you not by my side.

I can imagine a million terrible things,

like the end of the mountains and seas,

I can even imagine the end of the world,

but not a life without you loving me.

How would the sun continue to rise?

how could the planet rotate?

surely the world as we know it today

would stop and then disintegrate.

It would be easier knitting with water or mist,

than asking my heart to forget,

the affection I've known or the love that you've shown,

I may as well try, catching smoke in a net.
