She smiled as the drifting, fragrant steam

of jasmine tea carried the memory

of his gentle words floating sweetly

through her mind:

“I would dance with you anywhere.”

The delicacy of new beginnings,

a sensation savored by all senses,

enticed her mind with what might be,

as his words echoed:

“I would run through a meadow of wild daisies with you.”

The morning sun broke through the window

highlighting golden dust particles

until they glistened magically

like the fairy powder of his words:

“I would kiss softly your neck and ears and especially your lips.”

She sighed.
