When the dark clouds roll into ones life,

Fear begins to mold us like a lump of clay.

When all around the gloom and doom of strife,

God says, “I will be with you every step of the way”.

When sadness seeps and creeps into our soul,

And we struggle to raise our head to face the day.

When our mind is being charged with a heavy toll,

God says, “I will be with you every step of the way”.

When anxiety raises its faithless head,

And the deep blue sky turns dingy gray.

When the sun sinks lower with mounting dread,

When hope is gone and our life seems bleak,

In our eyes the tears refuse to stay.

When our heart is broken and we are unable to speak,

God says, “I will be with you every step of the way”.

God says, “I know you well my little child,

Your pain I would rather simply take away.

You must follow the path though fearful and wild,
