The Hearts Awakening

By Stephen R. Foster

My eyes do widen to the mornings glory coming through my window, yet, tis not the sun calling my lips to stretch with smiling, but her memory of beauty.

She is my first thought, as she was my last, after I took her to rest.

Consuming my entirety with enlightening,

her thought I cannot sway asunder; nor do I try.

Flowing within me, her love is now my lives essence;

continually supplying joy to every fiber of my being, even  as much as my blood.

Yes, yes, my peacefully filling heart concurs with minds contentment;I do need her, I so deeply love her.

Feeling oh-so-light of heart at her thought, my wanting, yearning, burning grows upon me, and reaches for her absent touch; yet again unquenched.

My minds eye teases happiness with a mere flash of her smile, while still my tongue sweetens.

This longing now is so hardly bearable,

I could walk through a mountain unstopped,

through fire unburned, and through life undeterred,

if only to touch her fingers gentle tips;

if only to hear her sigh with need…once again.

With only a kiss, she has filled me with loves nectar;

thus, my pollen I longingly give her and delightfully share with earnest.

Hurry, I pray the evening, so she may return;

so I may know her warmth, and feel her well.

Minutes have become my days with this all consuming wanting, while my hearts passion ponders deeply of her coming; its every beat seeming longer, and lonelier than last.

My souls windows suddenly wet with missing of her,

as my lonely loins of need gorge with passion;

for my every thought is her, my every breath she warms, and my very spirit….she is within.

Time, let this madness of mind, this heaven of heart,

and this serenity of soul never end; for I fear I could not continue, if to bear without her giving.

So close I am now to ending from her absence,

when suddenly through my door she once more enters;

bestowing her beauty fair as she captures me in joyous moment, and again, colors my lives sensuous canvas with loves gentle brush.
