Women loved my dad
even at 86
he glided through life
breaking all the rules.

He drink too much
laughed all the time
called all the women 'baby-fox'
and they loved him for it.

Won't live with the kids
wanted to play the field
with the sixty year olds
in the nursing home;
had women friends of all ages
whom he adored
and they adored him back.

Still did forty one-handed push-ups each day
and liveed in a city where it gets 10 below
and he sits inside and paints pictures of Spring.

I still look at a picture of him at the beach
at 23 in a blue speedo
'baby foxes' all around.
He never grew up
and I glad he didn't.

Used to say to my mother:
"I am sick and tired of being right all the time."
And she would say
"Don't worry dear, I am here to help."

She adored him too.
This day, my my memory bus
rolls right up
and he gets on.
