Romantic Ocean Sunset

by Jill Eisnaugle — Read all 611 poems by Jill Eisnaugle

A poem about the beauty found within the sunset and how that beauty only serves to match the glory found in a loving relationship.

Friday, May 16, 2008

Poem Artwork

The sunset streaming across the ocean
The beautiful colors of orange and red
Is reminiscent of my devotion
And eagerness to stroll the road ahead
The glory seen in the view above me
Reminds me of the joy found in your heart
You have proven the splendor that can be
When tender love becomes a work of art

Across the array of vibrant shading
A flock of seagulls flies swiftly in pairs
As a testament to unending romance
Love remains after the daylight’s fading
Beyond the utterance of bedtime prayers
Lingering always, thanks to the heart’s dance

Paints a lovely image of the emotions surrounding a loving relationship. A nice way to start our Valentine season with a reminder of what our hearts hold for our loved ones.

Just breathtaking, and passionate. It's funny, I just penned "curve of your ark"
a story of the sun's setting. I guess there is to much passion there for a poet or poetess
to overlook. ;-)

love and peace forever

Dear Jill,

Nicely said without the interminable sappiness of some poems. And congratulations on your inclusion in the anthology.

Such a beautiful photo. A little fishing boat at sunset and on the ocean. I've a photo of a girl walking along the ocean and one lone seagull only as my wallpaper on computer. Am alone but so glad yu have love in your life.
