This Father’s Day in Heaven
So many Daddies grieve
Missing their loving children –
The ones they had to leave
Their heartfelt tears are flowing
Praising their children’s worth
And still, their pain is showing
As they look towards the earth
While resting in much comfort
Upon a billowed cloud
Each Dad prays that his children
Know how they make him proud
Each sees his child’s achievements
Each mourns the sad shortfalls
Each revels in amazement
Within God’s hallowed walls
This Father’s Day in Heaven
These angels join as one
To thank their loving children
For all the good they’ve done
When you see beams of sunlight
Streaming ‘midst skies of gray
You’ll know Daddy’s enjoying
A Divine Father’s Day
