Poem Artwork
shouldn’t walk the street as a person
so unique you can never be shared,
when your out there in the open
but broken, home only a name,
same as alone & unknown.
knock on each door to open:

where each one greets with a groan
the one they didn’t need be cared,
that there’s nowhere left to hide,
that life is unique & then gone
& owns its claim on everyone
alone, it takes along for the ride.
Gift of Tongues

To be different is to be one nobody recognizes and, or identifies with; consequently, no one wants to know. It is social illness to think acceptance comes to you if you can blend with the walls.

The reality of these words are so close to home, one can relate on an infinate amount of levels. Profound in it's statement.

Society's ostracization of the unique, guess "unique" to those who open the door and greet with a groan means oddball out. A universal theme of abandonment, prejudice, and ignorance. Deep message here, Robin.

Robin, this is so full of imagery and hidden meaning. That picture is something else. Fits well with the poetry.
