Something sturdy
calls to me--
The scent of your skin,
shine of eyes, gleam of wit.
Low voice, just the timbre to
shiver my bones.
Even your blue jeans know
as they fit you perfectly.
Charisma oozes out of every pore.
It's not your words or your gifts,
but the perfect safety
paired with unpredictability--
I never know what plan you'll spring,
joke you'll tell,
but you will end the day
in my arms.
"Need" is too feeble
to describe my
compulsion for you.
Good luck with your new book.
Kind regards, Louisa
