I can only imagine
what his lips feel like
But even then
I wouldn't get it right-

I can only imagine
looking into those eyes of blue
Wondering what was behind them
and wishing I really knew-

What does it feel like
to hold his welcoming hand
And feel his arm around me
When tall he does stand-

I can only imagine him
whispering my name
While lying next to him
As I whisper back the same-

And now I must awake
and imagine him no more
As this is not reality
But what are wishes for?
