Captured

by Diane C Hundertmark — Read all 30 poems by Diane C Hundertmark

I've been rummaging through my journals again. This is a bit cryptic, even to me.
December, 2007 After all the "time" since I wrote this it still rings true . Just go outside early one cold crisp morning and look closely at the trees. I am smirking because what I dreamt that inspired this poem does in fact occur for real.
Enjoy, Dee
Soon there will be more posted.

******

A frame
    captured in time

Leaves coated with gold and red
 A few still green

Colours of autumn
 Clear - Crisp - Serene
Etched in crystal
 Iced in white

These are our dreams
Blown on the night winds
Wild meanderings

Frozen still
Sharp as glass
Knives of ice

Able to cut
Able to shatter
Our dreams bleeding
Our imaginings poured out

A frame
    captured in time

Lovely imagery and if I told you even half of the poems I have written that were real we would be talking for a long time-LOL

This is excellent, and it can mean what we need it to mean to us.

This is exactly what I am feeling right now, looking out my window and my balcony at the freezing rain ensnaring the colorful autumn leaves in its icy embrace. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Diane! I read your poem, "Captured" I found it opening my mind a little. It is cryptic, but a fun read. A nightmare full of color and
messages. Great work sometimes come from dreams. Best of luck! Please feel free to visit my sites either at www.freewebs.com/kendoo or here in the "Den".
