Inside Out

by Myra Wexler Darwish — Read all 62 poems by Myra Wexler Darwish

Inside Out is a poem that expresses my deep and abiding love for nature. I don't remember a day in my life when I didn't look outside to see the beauty of the natural world...that has sustained and nourished me throughout my life.

 "INSIDE OUT"

I looked out and instinctively knew

That nature's beauty dwelled in me too.

The Sun reflected my hope and pride,

The Moon my depths and quiet side.

The scent of flowers the love I’ve known,

The windblown leaves my times alone.

The changing sky, my thoughts and dreams…

Transcending all, with loving means.

I, too, can only describe your poem as beautiful in its simplicity and its clear and wonderful message. Simply beautiful.

Beautifully put, Myra. I, too, have an abiding love of nature. The mountains (my favorite) the ocean, the high desert; and all of them very accessible down in SoCal where we live. Enjoyed your thoughts. Happy Holidays. Peace to you... rlc
