Sleep my love

Embraced in his arm, I heard such softness in his voice,

When he said sleep my love, for the cries of yesterday, will not haunt you today, evil is not at your bed side, my comfort is holding you, an two was entangled as one,

As I closed my eye’s I could feel his love blanket me,

As the demons of my past drifted away from my dreams,

Peace concealed me; an all I thought of, was the touch of a good man,

Bruises from my childhood where not visible on this day,

When the sunset, I shed no tear’s,

A fog of mist didn’t fill the air; and I wasn’t running from it in slow motion,

Love covered thoughts of nightmares and minute’s that I had wished to forget, the hurt of misery faded away by the arms that tighten themselves around me, a shiver passed through my body, as I passed into deep sleep,

Years passed me by, my future called for me; it began, images of a blue sky, smiling as I could see myself running in a field of daisies, an a lover so gentle smiled back at me,

as i looked toward him i saw hope, understanding and the good love of a man, this woman was home,

The entry in my diary will read of passion, of an embrace that let me sleep, of time,

Between two, a caress, a feeling of want,

An I could hear him say sleep my love, for I am here with you now,

Love infused me with something I longed for,

Loves innocence’s
