seek the sparkle and glitter of those precious stones.
Mirrored images of what we see in each other.
A seeker of purity already polished for life.

We believe.
We dig and dig to find just the one.
The most perfect image, flawless in clarity.
Cleaved already in the ground to be mated
together through a band of gold.

We seek that perfection. Whether it is beauty, body,
or material possessions. We dig
We see the stone on the outside, over looking
painful flaws. How could something so beautiful
have any flaws at all? Look at her beauty, she’s a gem!
Formed through fire and brute force. How could this be wrong?

Go ahead and dig my digger friends. Dig for flawless perfections
and I wish you well. Dig your hole deep and wide throwing aside
those stones that don’t catch your eye. You throw away precious stones because you don’t care enough.

Hardened by fire, seared, covered over, yet extruded from the earth with great force for meaningful purpose. On the surface or cast away by you. One doesn’t need to look far, for diamonds are everywhere if we look with our hearts and not our eyes.

Two diamonds in the rough, polished together- matching prisms of broken light found tossed aside. Cleaned and weathered by storms and fire. Cleaved by loss. Polished to their own perfection by time and life. Radiant beauty inside out, valuable to only just one.

So diggers dig and toss aside those cloudy stones.
